- Turbine Speed Monitor
We have just completed a project for a major UK power station.
The project was for the design, development, and production of a Turbine Speed Monitor unit.
The unit calculates turbine speeds (usually averaging 3000rpm) up to a resolution of 0.001rpm, and communicates the speed (and other data) via network connection.
The final units have shipped today, and further information on the project can be found on the case study page below.

- New Year at Jubilee Electronics
After the Christmas and New Year break, we are back hard at work at Jubilee.
Our production departments schedule is currently incredibly busy, with a range of products for use in the healthcare, automotive, HVAC, security, electric power and drilling industries currently being manufactured.
All the products currently being manufactured at Jubilee were also designed by ourselves, and the range of industries we are supporting shows the scope and depth of our expertise in electronic design and manufacture.
Our design team is also working on a range of exciting projects including; a turbine speed monitoring system (with milli-hertz resolution) for a large power station, a vehicle security control system for a major security service provider, and a range of products and projects for a major healthcare company.
We hope to continue the success we experienced in 2012 in the coming year, and assist our existing, and future, clients in their electronic design, manufacturing and commissioning needs.

- Latest Update
-
Its been a busy 5 months at Jubilee Electronics since the last news entry.
Our production department has been working flat out on the manufacture of a range of healthcare products that we recently designed for a long standing client.

Our engineers are also working on a range of projects, currently in the R+D stages, ranging from a Vehicle Alarm control system, to a control system and monitoring software application for use in the energy sector.
We have also finally got around to redecorating our offices, which will now be a far more pleasant place of work for our engineers, and also visiting customers!

- Recent Design and Development Work
- We have been working to develop control systems for two new UK designed, and built, machines. The machines are to be used in the manufacture of heating and ventilation components. The affordability of the new machines give end users the ability to manufacture more ventilation system components in house instead of relying on 3rd party components. The control systems are based on our own existing control technology, thus providing a proven control sytem for the new machines.
We have also just finished and validated the Design and Development stages for a range of products for use in a clients healthcare system. This included the production of fully functional prototype units. We are hoping the products will transition to the production stage in the near future. - 30/03/2012
- Whats Going On
- We are currently busy working away in the Design and Development phases of some new and exciting projects.
Also, we have recently taken some time to make design revisions to some of our existing systems and products, including moving to a Windows XP embedded OS on one of our Control Systems to allow for WiFi capabilities and remote diagnostic utilities.
We envisage remote diagnostic utilities on our control systems as being an important step in enhancing the extensive support we offer to our overseas customers. - 22/01/2012
- New Year at Jubilee Electronics
- A belated Happy New Year to all our customers from the team here at Jubilee!
We look forward to working with our clients on new and exciting projects in 2012.
If you have any projects that you would like to discuss with us please contact us and we will see if we can be of any help to you. - 21/12/2011
- Merry Christmas!
- All the team at Jubilee Electronics would like to wish our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We will be closed for the Christmas break from the 22nd of December through to the 2nd of January.
We look forward to working with you on new projects in 2012! - 03/11/2011
- Retrofit Tri Colour Indicators
- We recently designed and manufactured a run of custom Tri State indicators.
The unit uses an ultrabright LED cluster, replacing the lamps used in the original indicators.
The indicators are used on a 110VAC supply to indicate an actuator valves state; closed (red), open (green) and travelling/mid position (amber).
The operation of this particular unit is switched red or green, and automatically displays yellow when no input is present.
The housing mounts into a 22mm or 31mm panel cutout and connections are made using a screw terminal block.
Due to our custom design and manufacturing capabilities at Jubilee Electronics other options can be easily implemented using the same housing e.g. different supply voltage, choice of colours, steady or flashing indication, type of connector etc.
The indicators pictured were designed for use in a Power Station environment, but can be designed for a wide variety of applications. - 04/07/2011
- Jubilee now supplying applications based on Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
Jubilee Electronics is now developing software using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
WPF is the next-generation presentation system from Microsoft for building Windows client applications with more visuall stunning user interfaces. The systen is based entirely on DirectX rather than the older Windows GDI graphics model.
We also support the more established programming frameworks such as MFC, APS.NET, .NET and also database applications using MySQL or SQL Server.
These technologies will enable us to incorporate and develop new features in our software including:
- Fully customised Graphical User Interface (GUI) design to provide enhanced support for touch screen control etc.
- Role based web access to control systems for remote operation and management utilities.
- Enhanced database and logging features.
For further information please visit our Software Development page, or Contact Us.- 31/03/2011
- High Temperature Control System Prototyping
Major development is underway on the software design for a high temperature control system. The design is being carried out in close cooperation with our client.
We have chosen a micro-controller for its tolerance at high temperatures and suitability in feature set. We have also developed and manufactured a custom development PCB for use with multiple micro-controller devices. This development board enables us to establish and develop comms and functionality routines between devices.
If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
